Foster Pug Information
Authorized Services

Routine/Annual Exam:


Check lumps, bumps, eye, skin, ears, teeth, and any other issues. Note any orthopedic or skin concerns. Provide feeding instructions if overweight.

Parasites:


Fecal exam - provide de-worming meds if parasites found
Heartworm test for ALL dogs - provide 6 months prevention. Heartgard Plus, Sentinel Spectrum, Interceptor Plus and Tri-Heart are approved
(we can order from Chewy if not available through vet). Flea/Tick only as needed, 1 dose oral can be approved.

Bloodwork:


Complete panel for pugs over 3 yrs (CBC, Chem, 4DX & T4) ; pre-surgical bloodwork if needed for under age 3yrs

Urinalysis:


All pugs should have one. X-ray if bladder stones suspected.

Vaccinations:


**No Lepto or Influenza Vaccines.**
Rabies: (1 yr or 3 yr) - If no history of vacs, don’t do DHPP & Rabies same day in case of allergic reaction
Bordetella: (1 yr) - Pugs with trachea issues CANNOT be given intra-nasal; injection/oral only
DHPP: (1 yr or 3 yr) - No DHPP after the age of 10

Microchip:


Microchip: Please scan; if a chip is present, please record chip # and manufacturer.

Other:
